Hugh and Hally Siddons have again offered to host the
annual OJC
Christmas Party at their home on Saturday, December 6th. The Siddons’
home is located at 52 Forest Hill Avenue in Ottawa and those attending
should arrive by
6:30pm with dinner served at 7:30pm.
The cost per member and spouse will be $45.00 per plate and the Club
will
subsidize the meal by $15.00 per plate leaving the member to pay $30.00 per plate.
The dinner will be a four course afair with the menu listed below.
Dinner will be preceded by hors d'oeuvres and will be followed
with coffee

Salad with Roast Vegetables, shallots confit in red wine, croutons and
lardons with yogurt vinagrette

Pumpkin Soup
Salmon Roll
with Hollandaise and Beef Entrecote with Sauce Chasseur

Details re the
Food:
The salad will be very tastey and the dressing
will not be rich.
Guests would
not have to order beforehand salmon or beef. They can have some
of each.
There
will be a variety of 3 different desserts with small
portions of each
- Verrines (white chocolate cream and 3 berries)
Lemon Tarte
with Raspberry and Italian Meringue and thirdly, Truffles
This is a BYOB affair
however a non-alcoholic punch will be available.
There will be a voluntary gift exchange, for those wishing to
participate.
Gifts should not exceed $15 and there will be no trading.

Parking is limited so please try to double up if possible.

It is essential that Mike be notified as
soon
as possible so that the Siddons can coordinate with the caterer. Once
we have achieved 30
people inattendance the cut off
date will be November 20th.
Payment at the AGM is requested so that we may commit to the caterer –
exact change or
cheque payable to The Ottawa Jaguar Club.
